This is why you need to participate in the course - otherwise, you will need a wiki of your own for this part.
Remember that your pages are your responsibility. It is up to you what you put in. After the course, they may be removed, so you may want to arrange with your tutor for copies to be made.
In a class, your tutor will have set up space for you. You can change the class page or your own, but should not change any others.
Before you start on your own pages, practice by adding details to the class page.
It is up to you what you add.
How about saying what you think of the course, or digital technology in general? Perhaps you would prefer to tell any in-jokes the class may have?
PBWiki has special features you can add to a page. These are usually known as plugins. One has been put on class pages so you can talk to each other outside the class.
The "Yackpack" plugin lets you talk using the wiki.
It works like the telephone but you need to click on the picture to speak. Why not try it out now?
To make your own page, click on "Ready" written next to your own name on the class page.
Step 1: Type a name for your page. Don't leave it as "Ready". If you make a link to another wiki page later on, you will use this name.
Step 2: You may be happy to hear that your own page will use a template. Choose the "Learner Page" template.
Step 3: Your page will now be displayed. To make changes, click the "Edit" button at the top of the web page.
Why not take a quick tour of how to use PBWiki?
Step 4: Use the editor to change your page. Your tutor will show you how to add your picture.
Take your time with this part of the course. Remember that you can use the wiki at any time, so you can carry on with it when you get home. When you are finished, go back to the course details page ready for the next section.
